Experience
I have taught university-level courses for seven years, including courses at the University of Oklahoma, and am currently employed as an adjunct instructor at a community college teaching anthropology, linguistics, and other language-related classes. I have also taught English Composition for international students at the University of Central Oklahoma. As a college professor, I truly enjoy interacting with students both in groups and one-on-one, in order to provide students with the best tools possible to ensure academic success. I always work to create a fun learning environment - classes shouldn't be a bore, and outside tutoring should be not just efficient but enjoyable as well. There are multiple ways to approach any subject or concept, and just as anthropologists and linguists use comparative methods to make sense of the world, I teach by example and analogy to make complex concepts more clear. In teaching language, I prefer a combination of conversation, grammar practice, and a cultural approach to help students get to the heart of speaking another language.
